Air freight normally uses the greater of actual and dimensional weight. DHL commonly uses length x width x height / 5000, while other air services often use /6000. Final measurement follows warehouse and route rules.

How to read transit time
Transit times are estimates and exclude warehouse handling, flight allocation, inspections, weather, customs processing, and additional delivery time for remote areas.

Important checks before booking air freight
Ask about sensitive goods first
Sensitive goods must be confirmed with customer service before shipment. Food, liquids, cosmetics, battery-powered goods, branded goods, and similar categories depend on current policy, route capacity, and inspection risk. Do not assume they can ship as general cargo or use general-cargo pricing.
Provide a complete address
Provide the full US delivery address and ZIP code. PO Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, Alaska, islands, and special ZIP codes may be unavailable or incur surcharges.
Declare and pack accurately
Provide accurate goods names, quantities, and values. Fragile, irregular, and high-value goods need reinforced packing; carton dimensions directly affect dimensional weight and charges.
Prepare shipment details
For a route check, prepare photos, category, package count, weight and dimensions, battery or liquid status, declared value, and destination ZIP code.
